CONTEST - Win a pack of world polymer banknotes from polymernotes.org!

{http://www.cdnpapermoney.com/sndb/images/contestbanner_polymer2.jpg}

Over the past year or so, we have run several contests in conjunction with the Serial Number Database:

The winning continues here at the Canadian Paper Money Forums! Starting with this next contest, we are calling these the Paul Wallis Memorial SNDB Contests in memory of the founder of this website, Paul Wallis who recently passed away. The contests are supported by several individuals, including:
  • twoinvallarta: Donated $500 towards prizes and shipping expenses
  • www.polymernotes.org by Stane Straus: Donated the prizes for this current contest

This contest, proudly supported by www.polymernotes.org by Stane Straus, consists of three packages of 15 assorted world polymer notes, plus a grand prize of 30 notes. The notes are all donated by Stane Straus, and regular mail shipping to the winner is covered by twoinvallarta's donation. Polymer notes are coming to Canada later this fall, so hopefully these prize packs will help you get used to polymer before the Canadian notes arrive.

The Serial Number Database has been loaded up with three secret numbers. The first three forum members to add a note to the SNDB that matches one of those secret numbers will win a pack of 15 free world polymer notes! The odds of winning one of these prize packs are about 1:333. The more notes you add to the SNDB, the better chance you have of winning.

Each 15-note prize pack consists of the following:
  • Brunei S4R1 1 Ringgit 2011
  • Paraguay S1R1 2,000 Guarani 2008
  • Papua New Guinea S5R4 2 Kina 2010
  • Nepal P45/S1R1 10 Rupee 2001
  • Samoa P31/S1R4 2 Tala
  • Nigeria P34/S3R4 20 Naira 2007
  • Nicaragua P-New/S1R1 10 Cordoba 2007.09.12
  • Guatemala P109/S1R2 1 Quetzal 2008.03.12
  • Vietnam P119/S2R5 10,000 Dong 2010
  • Bangladesh P35/S1R1 10 Taka 2000
  • Solomon Islands P23/S1R1 2 Dollar 2001
  • Romania P117/S7R1 1 Leu 2005
  • Romania P111/S1R1 2,000 Leu 1999
  • Zambia P43/S1R6 500 Kwacha 2009
  • Zambia P44/S2R3 1000 Kwacha 2005

The grand prize consists of a pack of 30 world polymer notes. A special secret number has been added to the SNDB. The odds of winning the grand prize are about 1:2,000. Again, enter your notes for more chances to win! All notes in both prize packs appear at quick glance to be UNC, but there may be a few exceptions that come in at AU with a light flick or something. I really want to win these notes, but I can't! They have to go to members like you!

The grand prize consists of all 15 notes in the above prize packs, PLUS the following premium notes:
  • Vietnam P120/S3R2 20,000 Dong 2007
  • Thailand P102/S3R4 50 Baht
  • Nicaragua P-New/S2R1 20 Cordobas 2007.09.12
  • Nigeria P-New/S4R1 50 Naira 2009
  • Nigeria P-New/S2R3 10 Naira 2009
  • Nigeria P-New/S1R1 5 Naira 2009
  • Brunei P30/S1R5 1 Ringgit 2008
  • Dominican Republic P-New/S1R1 20 Peso 2009
  • Hong Kong P401/S1R3 10 Dollar 2007.10.01
  • Honduras P-New/S1R1 20 Lempira 2008.07.31
  • Malaysia P47/S2R1 5 Ringgit
  • Mexico P122/S2R5 20 Peso 2007.05.14
  • Papua New Guinea P12/S1R1 1 Kina 2 1991
  • Costa Rica P-New/S2R1 1,000 Colon 2009.09.02
  • Singapore P46/S2R3 2 Dollar

To enter the contest, simply add your notes to the Serial Number Database!

If the SNDB declares you a winner, you need to email me a scan or photo of the winning note to confirm that you actually have it. If you've already deposited the note back to the bank, or if you've spent it, your win will be disqualified. Only new entries to the SNDB as of this posting are eligible.  Estimated prize value: CAD$40.00 (regular prizes), CAD$100.00 (grand prize). There are four separate prizes available to be won, but you can only win once. Only notes entered to the SNDB after the start of the contest are eligible to win. Members who have won a previous prize within the last six months are ineligible.

If you have any questions about this contest, please email or PM me.

Congratulations to our first winner, Microjamm! He has won the first of three 15-piece world polymer note prize packs.

There are still two more prize packs, plus the GRAND PRIZE to be won, so keep entering your notes for more chances to win.

And our third winner is kobecurrency.  Congratulations!  The grand prize is still up for grabs.  This is a really nice set of notes.  I personally would love to win it, but because I know how this contest ticks, I am disqualified... Sometimes it sucks to be me. LOL!  Good luck everyone!

And finally, at long last, I am proud to announce that our grand prize of 30 world polymer notes valued at $100 has been won by whitenite!

Congratulations!

With that, this contest is now concluded. But keep entering your notes! As the Canadian Journey series begins to wrap up this week with the introduction of the polymer $100s, we are still looking to increase the number of notes recorded and fill gaps in the knowledge gained.  I'm sure that over the next few weeks, we will be entering lots of new $100s as well.
