Title: How do I organize a collection of prefixes...

I'm collecting 1973 Canadian $1.00 bank notes.
I'm looking to ask others with prefix collection questions on best way of storage, what programs they might use to keep track, what info should be kept, are all prefixes released in Canada or are some released only in other countries?
