Effective immediately, the Canadian Paper Money Society is accepting PayPal for new membership applications and membership renewals.

Membership in the CPMS is $30 annually in Canadian funds for Canadian residents, or US funds for all other countries.

Existing members also have the option of renewing for 1, 2 or 3 years, or upgrading to a life membership.

If you're a new member, you will immediately get access to the My CPMS section of the website which gives you access to the most recent edition of the CPMS Newsletter in PDF format, as well as all back issues.

Click here to sign up now for the CPMS

Don't forget to renew your membership for 2010 to ensure that your membership does not lapse.

It says that the membership runs for the calendar year.

Do I have to wait until Jan. 1st to become member of the CPMS for 2013?

Thank you

Wonder what paper money would say if it could talk?

I would assume that you can register now for 2013, but please email info@cpmsonline.ca for confirmation.

BWJM. Is membership something you would recommend to someone new in the hobby or is most of the info included for the more advanced collector?

Personally I would recommend joining. There is plenty of information for all types of collectors. Great articles, up to date info on new prefixes, and  replacement ranges, summary of prices realized at some auctions, a section for buy sell and trade etc
Well worth the fee

Couldn't have said it better myself, Squid.

I joined the CPMS as a fairly new collector at the time and I'm glad I did.  It helped me learn more about the hobby, my collection, shows, what else was out there, how to grade, what to buy, what not to buy, and of course it introduced me to a number of other collectors.

At the very least, try it out for a couple years and if it doesn't suit you, you didn't lose much.
