I recently picked up a 2015 loonie. I could not help but notice that the finish on it is much more eye catching than the finishes on the prior years with similar designs.

Anyone else feel the same?
I Have a 2015 loonie, looks just like the previous years. Did not notice any difference.

Whew!  This was a good haul.  Can't wait to do it again.  I explained to the tellers at the bank why I was doing this and they seemed to understand.  (I thanked them for putting up with my insanity!)  LOL!

Keep hunting those rolls...

I picked up a couple of rolls of pennies from a friendly bank teller at my local branch.  He also let me have 2 UNC Journey $5 and 1 AU Birds $50 that were also loitering in the cash cage!

It's been awhile since I have posted on the forum but I recently acquired a very large lot of Canadian coins and thought I would share with you Dean.

Of the $150 in face that I had received half was quarters of no significance... another $20 in dimes which also didn't give up much... but I just finished sorting the nickels....

Hey Shylo,

That's quite the treasure trove of vintage nickels you've found.  I've always liked the 1922-36 nickels.

Just yesterday, I got 5 rolls of pre 1981 nickels from my local bank.  Mostly from the 1970's but still a cool find.  The teller also let me have 5 1971 tens, 2 Birds $2 and a Birds $5.  Not bad for a Friday!  :)

It just goes to show you that there is still treasure lurking out there if you're willing to look for it!

Keep hunting those rolls!  I enjoy reading about what other people find in their coin rolls.

Hi,
I've been neglecting this thread for quite some time!  :)

Yesterday, the teller at my local bank gave me a 1967 dime.  It's not much, but it's rare to see any silver at all these days!

I got a 2017 10 cent piece in change today...Only the second one I've ever encountered.
Are people hoarding these coins?  I've only ever received one nickle and now two dimes from my change in several months.
