Has anyone noticed that there are not as many replacements coming from BAI. Sheet as well as snr. What is everyones feelings? Has the economy prevent serious collectors to hold back? Your opinion appreciated. cheers Polarbear

Maybe because there are not as many defective notes (namely the $10's and $5's) nowadays due to the durability of the newer notes (2007 print year to present, with the protective varnish on our two smallest denominations)?

Hi Members
I have talked to many tellers and they have said that the new notes are sometimes so crisp they rip easier. small tears turn into mutilated.
Another cool fact is ask people if they remember 5 and 10 without the security strip. I did and some give you this glazed look. :o
Another situation I came across was someone thought the non security strip notes were counterfeit because some coffee shops give "information on how to detect counterfeits". and have only the new notes. ;D
just food for thought
