Title: 1954 one thousand Dollar bill
Post by: seaweb11 on January 18, 2007, 11:39:12 pm
I used to collect thousand dollar bills as a savings ritual and still have a very old one.
Bank of Canada
A/K 1491940
Ottawa 1954
Deptuty Gov. R.W. Lawson Governor G. Bai****? can't make out signature.

It has a VERY young Queen Eliz on one side and a pastural farm on the other.

The bill has been folded in 1/2 but is in very good shape!

don't think a scan addition would be a good idea

This is the most common of all the $1000's. You might be able to get $1100 for it, but most collectors would be more likely to look for Uncirculated notes and/or scarcer signature, since they have to spend so much money on the denomination anyways.
