Title: How could I tell if a note was pressed?
Post by: Bcarmich on February 13, 2005, 03:28:40 pm
Hello folks!

I'm new to this message board and would like to start by saying hello to you all.  I’ve read through a number of interesting postings today.

You are a knowledgeable lot!

I’d like to know if anyone could tell me how to identify whether a note was pressed and what affect that might have on the value of the note.

Pressed notes are worthless.  Just send them to me and I will ensure they are disposed of properly!!!  ;D

If the note has folds in it but is completly flat then its been pressed. But theres no real way to tell if an unc note has been :( however the new magnetic strips tend to warp the bill a bit so a pressed bill would show less/no signs of warping.
