I have an old photograph of me as a 4 year old dressed in my Davey Crockett outfit standing in my dad's pharmacy by the ice cream cooler.  The picture is dated 1956.  My imagination begins to drift as I think that I could have asked my dad if I could look through his cash register for asterisk notes.   Oooooh, my knees are getting weak!.

Question:

Were all the 1954 (Devil's Face) denominations released the same day simultaneously, or which note was released first? ???

Apparently the whole series was released on the same day.  I wonder how long after the notes were released that the devil's face controversy began.  One day, I will go down to the Toronto Star archives and go through the microfliches for September and October 1954.
