i LL add to your post for 1954 replacements the hardest ones are
all Beattie/Coyne 2 dollars and up
*A/G under 0400000
*A/M
*N/Y
*R/R
*L/S
*U/T
*B/V
IN MY SEARCHING THESE ARE THE HARDEST ONE TO FIND AND I WOULD BE HAPPY TO PAY BOOK VALUE FOR ANY OF THESE
-
I was thinking the 5 hardest were:
1) *C/I
2) *V/V
3) *Z/Z
4) *V/E
5) *U/T
-
Cool. I've got two of the ones from that list!
(I've got *A/M, *B/V, *U/T, *V/E, *A/G<0.4, *I/X, *D/O, *I/O, *H/F)
-
I know I am waiting for you to sell that U/T and B/V I left out the obvious in my original post i.e. Z/Z V/V and C/I

More than i got, but i do have *B/V, *I/X, *D/O, *I/O and a devils *A/A
But BWJM, don't you also have an *AA >5m? so that must make your collection very nice!
I think there is one member on here who has every single replacement and test that is known. Wish it was me, but its not! :'(

I think we all know those are the "holy grail" notes but I think Stevepot was enquiring about the "attainable" list.

yes I know of 2 collectors you could be referring to ... and I'm sure a lot of us wish we were in their shoes.
BWJM's collection is defintiely enviable...esp the way he "hunts" for treasures of late...
Well at least I have: my $1.00 *A/M, *I/O,
$2.00 S/R test
$5.00 *N/S *N/X,
B/C $10.00 *A/D and $20.00 *A/E notes
I would love to get the $1 *N/Y $2 B/C *A/B, the $5 B/C *R/C,*I/X, and the $10 *U/T, *B/V and the $20 *V/E
-
other then the 3 impossible ones in the modified collection I am only missing
A 2 dollar *A/B beattiie Coyne
5 dollar *R/C beattiie Coyne
10 dollar *U/T,*B/V
and a 20 dollar *V/E
