This book is supposed to be released (shipped) today. Anyone heading to the Charlton office to buy a copy? Anyone looking for one from another source? Let's see your books....
-
I don't think the book has been released yet. It says July 20th but i believe this is an error. No copies are available yet.
-
Mine have not come in yet. Expecting them any time now.
-
I placed an order with chapters last week and they say i should get it this week :)
-
I had a dream last night that I recerived it. Just a dream. :P
-
Looks like those who pre-ordered the book in advance should all start getting copies on Monday July 27th.

"Patience is a Virtue", or so they say.
It seems to me that sellers of modern notes (1954 Modified and later) will probably prefer to use the old edition while buyers will prefer to use the new edition. ;D

I just bought mine today in my local coin shop in Ottawa.

Xpresspost delivered mine today, Thanks Brent!!

I purchased mine across the counter from a local Chapters store earlier today. Several of the Ottawa Chapters stores now have them in stock. The salesperson told me that they were received from the publisher today. It's a wonderful catalogue with several major stylistic enhancements.

I got 1 today in Ottawa's chapters (silver city) :)
it looks some of the prices down some are up pre 1954
some stayed the same for errors and low numbers

I have to add that i have seen and bought notes significantly below book. Honestly I'm surprised at the valuations for most of the notes.

Bear in mind that the Charlton catalogue only give an estimate of a note value and is at no time an actual note value. The price of a note is set by offer and demand. The only problem demand can not be evaluate these day because the many so call “auction” start at a price almost equivalent to the price publish in Charlton and on top of that you need to add a buyer premium often reaching 20% + all applicable taxes, so it's not the best way to evaluate the true price of a note. If you compare the price of a note ten years ago the price almost double, did demand raise to that extend, or something else is pushing the price upward, maybe collector that as been in the market longer then me can give their opinion, if the market can hold such a jump in price?
