Title: Number of existing notes?

In several topics people mention things like "its one of 18 know to exist"..... how does one find this kind of information?

There are three sources that come to mind:
1.  the registers published in the CPMS Journals and Newsletters (and maybe in a separate volume, eventually)
2.  the registers maintained on the Wiki site right here
3.  the wishful thinking of the seller - based on nothing, and often a small fraction of the total in the CPMS register.
