While trying to complete the "GO-" prefixes for the 1986 $5, I stumbled across a GOI note. The last couple of Charlton Catalogues have noted no GOI prefix. Is this an oversight in the Catalogue? I'm not sure I have seen any around.
On a related "note", I recently saw a EOB note on an online auction site that had a blue BPN...once again, in the Catalogue does not show any EOB notes to have a blue BPN, only yellow.
Any thoughts on both of these topics?

Please post scans of both notes (including enough detail to show the blue BPN on the EOB), and I will make sure that your report is submitted to the editor of the catalogue for inclusion in the next edition.

Brent;
I cannot post any pictures on the EOB as I deleted it from my "Didn't Win" folder on the auction site. I wish I had won it :'( It certianly looked like a blue BPN.
I will post the GOI soon.

I found it in a delted folder. Here is the back of the note and the item number to eBay.
Item number - 250973942137

The EOB looks like a yellow BPN to me.

GOI prefix was indeed issued, its simply an error in the charlton guide that would need to be fixed, its an error that has gone unnoticed since the 22nd edition.
-
That's really interesting! Could there be other prefixes that exist and have been forgotten? Like GPI?

No if i remember correctly GPI was not issued. The only two $5 notes issued that come to mind, with letter I series was GOI and ANI.

Well now that I am looking in the right spot GaryT, yes it is yellow. I was looking where the BPN would be for a $20 note. The listing made reference to a blue BPN. Oops! ::)

It's been a long error...since the 20th edition 2008...that's as far back I go with my books. Odd no one noticed.

The information in the 21st edition 2009 is correct. It is only when the charlton went to the larger format as of the 22nd edition onward that this info is wrong. Anyhow with this information provided, it will be corrected in the 25th edition 2013.
