I have been requesting crispy $5 at banks, casinos etc. this week and no one has paper anymore. That happened much faster than I anticipated.

Umm... what?
My observation for the past little while is that the polymers are not as plentiful as they were at release. The $5 Journey notes are still plentiful and seem to be getting recirculated.
-
I have not seen a poly $5 or 10 in circulation yet???
The one all nite "financial institution" I attend is still giving out sequential 2010's, while the other has been recirculated 5's for weeks now.
The banks have poly 5's if you ask for them.

I think the original poster is wondering about crisp paper 5$ notes. That's my understanding.
But in any case I am getting a pretty even mix of paper and polymer. Getting some from the bank its 50/50 while in change it's roughly the same. They are becoming more plentiful definitely the polymer but I wouldn't say the paper is disappearing yet. What I do notice though is that whenever I do get a paper 5$ its not in great shape at all anymore. :(

Funny, just yesterday I received AOR 7132174 Jenkins Dodge printed in 2006 in AU condition at my local LCBO in change. I guess it all depends on where you are located...

I have not received any $5 in my change in more than a month. I'm still trying to spend my way through the bundle of Frontier $5s I picked up a month ago. :)

I talked with the bank teller last week and they told me that there is no direct order to remove the journey $5 and $10.
They do received journey and frontier mixed bundle for their depot when they ordered them
.

Yes, I meant crisp, sequential $5 paper notes.
Strange there are none to be found locally, but there is hope to get more obviously - based on what others are finding.
