Title: Any information would be extremely helpful.

I have a Canadian 20-dollar bill from Jan 2nd 1937. E/E 4589425. Apart from that there is not much else written on the bill. In fact I’m not even sure who the Gentleman on the face of the note is. On the reverse side a woman leans against a tree in a very Greek pose. Any information regarding this piece would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.

Hi,  Your note is signed by Gordon/ Towers and is worth $25 in poorer condition and maybe $150 in almost uncirculated condition. This is a very common note and the best way to estimate value is to find one or two with the same signature and condition on ebay and see what they sell for.
