Title: Your Collecting Preference.
Post by: b168 on May 13, 2011, 10:22:42 pm
Which road do some members here prefer to take building their collection. I prefer quality over quantity. If I could only afford to purchase a better grade note versus a number of lower grade ones, I probably take the one note.

I agree with this 100%...Always buy the best you can afford..I know some people may disagree...but this is my opinion...and I have never regretted doing so yet!

Quality is what I look for when purchasing for my own personal collection.
Quantity is what can be collected if you are looking to make a quick profit.
I like buying larger lots and estate collections to break down and sell off.
It takes some extra work but generally you can triple your investment.
This is how I can afford to buy quality for my own personal collection.
This is particularly true for coins.
