Here is a copy of where the blue number is located ( Thanks Punkys Dad). Yellow is in the same location.

Yes this is a yellow BPN and this is why it was changed to blue, just too hard to see.

So is the yellow BPN worth anything?

I tried taking a look at the note in Photoshop, but the scan is too poor of quality. The details are all blurred. I can definitely see some yellow where the BPN should be, but it's impossible to make out the number.
Simply for the purposes of identifying the number, if you provide me with a high-res scan, I can work some magic and make the number show up fairly clearly.
That said, the note is not worth any more than $5 given its condition. Even in UNC, it's a fairly common note that should be in any well-stocked dealer's inventory.

Sorry, with that image, there's nothing more I can do to try and read the BPN. It's just too blurry.
Cheers!

The yellow BPN will be more easily readable on a black and white photocopy than on the note itself.

Here a scan of a yellow bpn and a blue one. I scanned at my notes at 1200 dpi to get an easily readable image. You see why the changed the color of this number...The yellow number is 39.
