I recently went to a trip to Montreal 2 weeks ago, and today, I decided to take a look at my leftover Canadian currency and noticed that the reverse of this particular 20 was particularly bold, and likely doubled.

It turns out that it was doubled after all!

I should also add that the printing of the date and copyright is particularly bold on the 20 notes printed in 2008. The 2009-printed notes are clearly less bold than those of 2008 (and 2007, 2006 also I believe).

The doubling occurs on the Copyright, date of printing, reverse plate number, the Bill Reid part and even the poem.

This doubling does not occur on the front at all!

For what it is worth, the serial number is ERY 0214988 and the plate combo is front plate 18/reverse plate 53.

Now I am wondering if anyone else has even claimed seeing any note with such doubling on any denomination of that particular series before me, because it had been 3 years since this note was originally printed - I will be very surprised if no one else has reported this yet.

I have already planned not to spend this one at all - because it looks way out of the ordinary.

I am guessing the value on this is speculative if it turns out that I am the first one to have noticed this...

Thank you again!

I looked carefully at your scan and saw a small shift on the printing.  I have never seen this reported before.
