Title: Suggestion for a guide or new forum section for Inserts
Post by: viauauto on July 13, 2007, 11:57:35 am
Hello,

I don't know if it possible but can we make a sub section in the INSERT/REPLACEMENT FORUM or a new section in WHAT IS WORTH ?

We could put a section of INSERT 5$ and inside this we can put thread for exemple  :

2001 ANV 3.060 - 3.400M

When we click we can see a message how much it worth...if it's rare etc..

Because the Charlton is not a real real reference for INSERT, and sometime they dont have the good price listed, only expert people here have the right answer..

After we make another  thread for 2006 AOF 3.800M - 9.999M  etc .. etc..

We could become the number #1 Forum for reference of INSERT

I could do the moderator or the guy who make all the thread if you want..

What do you think ?

Do I have people who support me  ;D or bad idea  ???

Personally I think this would be a great idea :o

Since replacements are not always easy to locate, let alone what prices they are going for, I think that this would give people a good heads up on what they could expect to pay and just how rare they actually are.

Sometimes we see things on ebay for enormous buy now prices, but have no idea if it is even close to what the norm is.

I know it will not be easy to determine a price on all replacements, but even ball park prices are better than no price at all ???.

I for one would love to see this happen. Being new to this, gives you a little more confidence on if you are paying a fair market price or not.

I also am willing to set this up and moderate it.

Considering Journey $5's are my specialty I feel I could contribute greatly to this endevour.   ;)

I have alot of experience, but I only think it would be valuable in a section that is called Journey Replacements.

I have no data on inserts.  Just replacements.   ;)

How about if they insert a section on REPLACEMENTS.  ;D
Then would you contribute ???

Just keep drilling it into people and eventually it will become second nature. 8)

Even I learnt........................Eventually

Not good enough-- if that word is gonna be in there, it has got to be

"Inserted Replacements"  Oh wait, how about just "Replacements", since they are inserted anyways, and we don't need to specify that.

I think "$5 Journey Replacements" is more appropriate.

"Inserts" is NOT the proper term to be used. Journey Replacements are not called Inserts. It has been mislabeled far too long now.

 They are REPLACEMENTS!!!  ;)

  ;D  ::)

I think the Topic should also have a dedicated title in the "Special" Section of the forum. So then each thread inside the topic can be titled the Replacement Range and information can be provided within each thread.

It will be similar to your Journey Series denominations sections and then all the prefixes. But just one Topic for "$5 Journey Replacement Notes". This way all the information will not bog down other topic sections.

Once this is all setup and quite successful we can consider the same thing for $10. We can do the trial with $5.

I also nominate Hudson and myself to moderate the new Forum Topic based on our experience and familiarity with Journey Replacements.

I'm surprised you didn't catch the hint the first time. We have a section for insert and replacement notes. Use it.

Closed.
