Is there any value in holding onto notes for longer periods of time?
I have to agree here...nothing of real value and even the common stuff unless in UNC + condition will likey lose their buying power...put it towards something you need...A Canadian Government Paper Money Cat. would be a good investment :)

Always looking for #1 serial number notes in any denomination/any series

The link with the side by side picture helps.

Ha, good idea for the use of funds.

I guess the best way to sell would be privately, like on the Trade forum or online classifieds?

put them into your RRSP or a kid's RESP and they will be worth more than you could generate from taking them to the bank...
