1912 $5 Train Note DC-21g jumped from $1650 to $1800-$1900 (dont completely remember) in VF. Saw it when glancing at Torex

For Journey notes, the movers are the ones most collectors need or want. Otherwise most prices are pretty flat. Some notable movers on the upside in CU conditions are:

AOB 2.240 - 2.320  up $50
HOG 9.920 -9.940  up $50
HOH 7.060 - 7.140  up  $50
HOP 0.920 - 0.940  up $25
AAD 2.560 - 2.561. up $30
FDZ. 9.000 - 9.600. Up $40
FEN, BEK and BER replacements are up $25 to $50
BEU 0.023 - 0.025  up $100
BTV 0.080 - 0.860. Up $50
BTZ 9.829 - 9.830. Up $100
AYV 8.900 - 8.904. up $35

Some of above replacements are extremely difficult to find.
That's why they will be consistent movers, year after year.

In your posting you mentioned, amongst other notably hard to find notes, BEU 0.023 - 0.025 ? I was fortunate enough to have gotten one brick, I did brick searching for a few years then, and that brick had two or three of these BEU's. However they, and any others I have ever heard of only reached a grade of AU. Have you personally seen or heard of any of these BEUs in a higher grade? BTW I still have these notes alone with many more on your listing. HOG to be only one of them. Nice job. That's why I hung onto all the notes as I too thought they'd stay "movers"....

BTW I failed to mention that these BEU 0.023 - 0.025 notes I found In a brick all were the front notes of the brick and so the nylon band cause the grade. Also ALL BEU s I heard of came the same way ....   first notes in the bricks.

Of the 13 notes listed on WIKI there is only one note that is TPG with a Choice unc exceptionally embossing designation.
As with some of the other tougher notes many being on the top or near top of the brick will have band marks/tears, yet if lucky enough to find a brick where the banding was not tight the chances of getting a choice note increases...
These problems appear to have existed with other tough notes such as AOM AOP AOR as well

The BEU in the range of 0.023 - 0.024 (first 1000 note range) are believed to have been inserted by the Bank of Canada and not the banknote printers.  It was assumed that the BoC did their own QA at times and always placed the replacement notes between notes 000 and 001 (e.g. AOM, AOP).  This range of BEU was always found between 000 and 001 notes in the brick.  This is a very unique replacement note as it is a 2004 replacement found in a 2005 brick.  Almost all of these notes were found in AU or EF condition.

The BEU in the range of 0.024 - 0.025 were found at a later date as "normal" SNR (i.e. appearing anywhere in the brick).  It is for this reason that notes from this range can be found in Uncirculated condition.  In my opinion the ranges should be seperated in the catalogue due to their significant differences.

I am glad that some else shares my thoughts. If you look at the WIKI listing 10 out of the 13 notes reported are in the 0023-0024 range and are AU with the one exception, yet the 2 of the 13 notes in the .0024-.0025 range are UNC
This seems to begin to show what has been stated above has merit. After personally searching thousands of bricks and finding AOM in the same position has lead me to believe that when these notes have been handled by individuals they certainly show a lack of care when inserted back into the bundle...and of the AOP and AOM that I have seen also show this type of evidence due to mishandling by QC...
As to whether or not the two ranges should be separated in the catalogue I agree.
