Title: Your recent pickups
Post by: Wizard1 on April 08, 2010, 01:04:58 pm
We'll I was thinking to myself, yes we have a "your finds" section which as implied we use to post our actual finds of notes within circulation. But then what about those notes or amazing deals we find on like Fleabay or after visiting a local show or auction? Those don't really count as 'finds' more like amazing or beautiful 'pickups' instead.

Hence for your consideration, I present you this new thread to show off your recent pickups!

I guess I will be the first.... picked up this beautiful test note for $6 buy it now on you know where a few days ago!

Better yet, get a Toonie - for 1/3 the cost you get the Queen with a bare bear behind!  ;D

Nice note Mark

Looks like the top margin is not straight either. 15% bellow AU price?

Thanks for the reply.  I moved the original post to the What's It Worth board...

The top margin can always be straightened.  Everyone knows these early notes were cut by hand and the margins are usually crooked and/or uneven as a result.  I think the amount of margin showing, not how level it is, matters more, but that's just my opinion.
