Title: Gore Bank
Post by: Bernard_Schaaf on October 29, 2007, 10:23:11 pm
Is  there  one  among  you  who  could  provide me  with an  image  of  a  Gore  Bank  10  dollar =  50  shillings  note??  Either date  would  do.    Thank  you.

Dear Elwood:    Wow! I  appreciate  the  promptness of  your  reply.   However,  the  $10  I  seek  is  the  $10  = 50  shillings  note  of  the  other,  "real"  Gore  Bank, which  $10's  were  dated  either  1836,  1839, or  1852  and  which  apparently  were  actually  issued  into  circulation  (i.e.  are  not  remainders).
Nevertheless,  I  thank  you for  your  help.
You wouldn't  happen to  have  access  to  an  image of  the  CBC  1887  $10,  would  you??  I  am  still  trying  to  acquire  images  for  my  albums,  and  am  now working  in  the  G's  and  H's.         Bernard

Bernard,

A great place to obtain images and information on bank notes (Yes the Charlton Catalogue) is the Bank of Canada: Currency Museum website, under “browse the collection”. This is where I obtained the image I posted.

Hope this helps
