Title: 1954 $20 Succesive #s
Post by: DaveyD-99 on April 22, 2016, 08:31:23 pm
Hi There,
This is my first post...I've recently been given the task of trying to value part of an old collection from a relative.
There are two things in particular (right now) he's looking to see if there's any value in.

First are five..(what looks to me) to be perfect condition $20 bills from 1954
All the serials are succesive

Also a large sheet of 40 uncut $2 bills in a glass frame...1986

I told him not to expect much beyond the face value but I thought I'd ask here...Thanks

The 20's are common but still worth $75-100 each thanks to their condition. The 2$ sheet value is trending currently around $100 for the CBJ prefix sheet.
If you have a fair amount of notes to get valued i recommend getting a copy of the latest Charlton catalogue of canadian paper money 28th edition 2016. This book is available at chapters/indigo at store and online.

Thanks... I'm glad the $20s are worth some... Wasn't sure if having 5 consecutive numbers made a difference or not.

There is quite a bit more... Some quite older with the King on them.  He's not interested in giving those up yet!

I will grab that catalogue... Appreciate it. :)
