How many Shinplaster Rotators were printed?
and for bonus points: How many were DC-24a vs DC-24b vs DC-24c vs DC-24d?
-
Hmm... Good question. I already know how to figure out the answer, so I'll let everyone else figure it out. Enjoy!

Another question:
Doesn't have to do with shinplasters but it does have to do with Rotators how ever.
Does anyone know if in the new Charlton 22nd edition that they are going to have some prices for older series rotator notes? I thought I had heard some where that they may be going to do such a thing, but that is just hear say? Does anyone know more about this specific question?
Bugsy

Until the GPM22 is released, it would only be speculation. I suggest waiting and finding out for sure.

From what I understand, it is not likely to be in there, for the reason that there truly is not enough o them to determine a market value. Just like radar notes prior to 1937 or wherever. Super hard to find, but they do exist....

So nobody has made a guess yet?
All of the requisite information to determine the answer is available in the Charlton guide. A little math and a dash of common sense will get you an answer.

I think 31 Rotator shinplasters
DC-24a - 3
DC-24b - 9
DC-24c - 4
DC-24d - 15
and I don't have any of them.... :(

VERY VERY CLOSE!!!!! but not correct:
There are indeed 31 rotator serial numbers in the shinplaster series, but each number represents a sheet of 10 notes, so there were 310 shinplaster rotators printed.

009600
DC-24b

OK, my answer is x10....... ;D
I had that originally but got confused because of the quantity printed.
So the quantity print should also be x10, eg. DC-24a, quantity print should be 5,100,000, not 510,000. Is this correct?
thx

DC-24a had a range from 000001 to 051000, so 51,000 sheets = 510,000 notes.
Three of these sheet numbers are rotators, so there would be 30 rotator notes in DC-24a.
