FYI...

I know some of you guys collect the Solids numbers so..  there is one available on a Certain Auction site.

Its someone from the UK so you might not see it on searches on the US Site.

I don't want to post the item number to get in trouble.  It's not my note...
But if you search for "a/y9999999"  you should find it.   

Note looks to be VF/EF ish..  Seller listing as UNC but its not obviously.

Just thought some of you might like a heads up... these don't come along too often.

I figured some of you would appreciate the heads up.  As I know they don't come along very often.

there is a 1974 $2 note solid 8's that i found in taiwan about 2 mth ago
i wanted to buy it but the seller want like $1500+ usd and the seller told me that the note is in the USA with his frend he will shipp it to taiwan and then to the
buyer i do have the link some where at my laptop when i find it i will post it when i get home

First, see how the solid #9 ends up ....  I guess 50% of suggested book value according to condition.

Second, the solid #8 $20 note listed as "NEW" and the seller indicated as "95% NEW".  Not sure what his term of "NEW", however using the past and current exchange rate of @0.036 and @0.035, the listed price was between C$1,330 / C$1,368 and asking price was C$1,470 / C$1,512. Hard to tell it's fair or not for the price and also the image's resolution is too small that I can't really have a clear idea it is UNC.

Person, I had a chance to buy a UNC 1954 $5 solid #8 note about 6 / 7 years ago in one of the well know Asian country (at this time, we don't have 3 class of unc) and I had personally seen and graded as UNC (both seller and me).  My offer was US$1,000 but was not success due to a US buyer to pay US$1,200 including shipping charge by FedEx.  For sure solid #8 carry a significant premium from the Asian people .....

that's a good buy for $509 i wanted to bid on it some how i was thinking that the listing will end today
i wanted to pay $600 . i don't have eny solid's not yet and they are very hard to come by

for the solid 8s i did offer him $1200 usd but he will not sell it below $1700 usd .
