Title: 1954 $2 Dollar Bills
Post by: thingamajig on February 13, 2016, 08:30:35 pm
I found a cash box in an old house that we bought. Inside were a lot of coins and two 1954 2 dollar bills. The bills are in excellent condition, no folds or wrinkles and the colors are bright and vivid. Just wondering if they are worth anything? One has the signatures J R Beattie and L Rasminsky serial number E/R5533935. The other one has the signatures JR Beattie and JE Coyne serial number Z/B 8258194

Hello
Both notes are fairly common modified 1954 notes, Beattie Coyne if in perfect condition could be as much as $60, the Rasminsky is a bit less common and would be worth as much as $125.  We would need good scans to help determine condition which is everything for the value.  Hope that helps, Murray

Thank you for the reply. I will try to figure out how to do a scan so you can have a closer look at the condition  :)
