Title: poll for SNR/SHEET REP/RADARS/ROTATORS/REPEATERS
Post by: friedsquid on June 13, 2007, 10:56:16 pm
I would like to start a poll on who collects the following items. (Would be interesting to know why?)
SNR's
Just sheet replacements
Rotators
Radars (two/three/four digits)
Repeaters (class A and/or class B)
Since it seems that this is obviously becoming a part of the new Charlton Canadian Paper Money Catalogue I thought it might be of some interest to others out there as well

How do I vote RADAR in the poll? RADAR is my vote of course.

Then Sheet Repl., then SNR repl.

Then ABCABCA Repeaters.

SNRs, rotators, sheet replacements and radars. Unless the radars are solids, than they go to the front of the list.

Hudson: Since when do you collect radars? I'm just messing, can't wait to see you at this year's CNA.

I like Radars first, well radars seemed to a bigger field  than I remembered in the beginning. Just got a nice pair of 3D radar repeaters yesterday BEZ8189818 and BEZ8284828; and I thought we were done with 2005s by now. Great luck, I just happened to have a BEZ hole in my collection. Radar repeaters are my favorite category of radars, especially with plenty of 8s. Replacements/asterisks/inserts are nice if I could get every prefix and not bother with Microranges (Like to keep life simple mon). Secondary objective is getting each prefix (Not listed above in the poll).  :)

Anybody selling 8887888?

I probably met atleast 15 people at Torex that collected one or another of these.
It only takes a second to put in a vote. ;D

Some of my interests are not on this survey/poll:
1) errors (offset, SN, & then miscut)
2) 54 asterisk replacements (esp $5), then X replacements
and only sheet replacements if they have a unique feature (eg: 03 BEK, K/T FDZ)
3) Journey lost prefixes (BEL, 03 BER, BEP)
4) low numbers
5) signature or year change-overs (short issue)
6) Test notes

(not necessarily in that order)

Since I'm new to this hobby, I'm still getting my regular BOC bills together.  I'm also looking for 3 and 2 digit radars, almost solids, low numbers (2-100), 2 digits, and 007 themed numbers (I'm a Bond fan- which I can now admit to since Casino Royale put the franchise back on track).  I'd like to get into Error notes as well, but have none yet.  I'm starting to tell friends to look out for any weird notes for me.
