$20 mismatched serial numbers

I tried searching online, but didn't come up with much.  I don't have a picture but the left serial number is ALR7999991 and the right one is ALR6999991

The note was found in my change, so it has been circulated.  Not looking to sell it as I have a nice coin collection going for my kids.  Just curious about it.  Its a 2004 issue with Jenkins/Dodge.

In the latest 22nd Charltons Press catalog, a $20 single digit mismatch is valued at 450.00, which is for an uncirculated perfect note.  In circulated the value would be less as determined by its condition.  Hope this helps, Murray. 

Yes, that helps, thank-you.  I actually go over around 100 20 dollar bills a day doing deposits, and I noticed a lot of smudged or extra dark numbers with the ALR series.  Have you heard of any other errors with this series?

I have had heavy inking on ALR, but never has it been significant enough to be worth savinig, from my perspective.

Every now and then, this happens.  How much is "significant"?  That would depend on whether or not someone wanted to pay for it as an error.

The FPN is 74 and the BPN is 56.  I was asking about the heavy inking if there was a possibility that the press maybe had a minor malfunction and that is the reason for the error.  In the deposit at work today there were about 85 20's, and out of those there were 5 ALR notes, and all 5 had some sort of heavier ink on one of the numbers.

Also, I'll post a picture of the back of it if I can figure out how to do it!  I have a scanned picture of it now.
