I got this Saddam Hussein note today off a guy today. On the back it says "Central Bank of Iraq" and "Twenty Five Dinars". I don't know anything about this note. Does anyone know anything about this note or how much its worth?

I saw various denominations go for about $2.00 at Torex show (I guess there were UNC bricks --hoards--confiscated by US soldiers and dispersed to those interested). They also sell cheaply on eBay.

..... a fairly common and inexpensive note, but an interesting piece of history. I know a collector who only buys notes with portraits of "heroes" and "villains". This note obviously fits well in the collection ... and I'm advised it is the only Iraqi note with a portrait of "him" in a military uniform.

I guess I lost on this trade... It was a guy in my computers class who had it and wanted $10 for it. I made the trade just because Saddam Hussein was on the note. Right after that trade I was able to sell 4 of my 1967 $1 notes that I got for face value for $10. There for I only paid $4 for this note. :P
