Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has dealt with Van-Isle coin on Fort Street in Victoria. How are his prices and is he easy to deal with. Thanks Bob.

I have dealt with Van Isle when visiting Victoria a few years ago. The fellow who operates the store is pleasant and very easy to deal with and his prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, he does not always have a great deal of material.
There are two other dealers on Fort Street. One that is basically an antique store but has some high-end ICCS-graded Canadian coins. The owner is pleasant but wants top dollar for his coins. I can't remember if he had much in the way of "paper".
The material in the third shop was, in my opinion, over-graded and, accordingly, I did not spend much time there.
If and when I return to Victoria, my first (and possibly only) stop would be Van Isle.
There's a coin club in Victoria but I don't know if they put on an annual show.
