Title: Job for Mark Carney
Post by: Seth on June 05, 2013, 09:23:59 pm
Here's a job for new Bank of England governor Mark Carney.

Fix this web page (http://www.bankofengland.me.uk/confidence-restored/a-reserve-in-india.php), which states that the Bank of Canada was established in 2003, with J.A.C Osborne being sent over as its first deputy governor.   :-D

Well, then here's Mark Carney's inaugural speech once he takes the reins at the Bank of England:

"Sorry mates, but in 2003, or 2013 for that matter, the closest you're going to get to J.A.C. Osborne is Ozzy Osbourne."

Frightening, isn't it?

The article also says that India and New Zealand's central banks were started in 2003-2004, as well as the Bank of Canada. All three were established in 1934-1935. 69 years off.

Let's hope the Bank of England pays more attention to its monetary policy than to its web pages.
