Title: Westmorland Bank Low Number
Post by: Ottawa on April 29, 2008, 03:49:24 pm
It seems to me that low sheet/serial numbers are infinitely more popular with 1935 and later notes than with 19th century notes. In particular, low numbers written in ink manuscript on obsolete notes don't seem to have very much appeal at all although I have seen a few such notes "hyped" on eBay.

I've attached a scan of a low numbered Westmorland Bank note (printed # 12) and I wondered if anyone has seen other low number notes for this bank?

The above note just sold on eBay (Item # 220226458611) for US$203.50.
