Hi everyone! I found this really weird 1954 Modified $1 that had the back printed upside down! If you want the ebay site PM me. Biding is starting at $1995.00 US. The note is in VG. Here are the images. Maybe we should start a registry on these notes since they are SO scarce! Thank you for looking at this exquisite note. 8-)

Yea at first you think the asking price of $2300 is a little high but.... with 32 on less out there its not that that bad but I dont think it will sell but what a note and with the news paper articles it is a real nice note to show off.

This note is listed in the Charlton catalogue on page 386 with a value of $2500
Here is a scan of a note in better condition from the same sheet that sold on ebay about two or three years ago. It was not listed properly (didn't even have a scan of the back) but it did say there was a newspaper article included and sold for less than $200 US I think but I'm sure not more than $300. I was the second highest bidder AGAIN!

Go for it! :o
$2300 isn't a little high...its ridiculous! ::)
If the man wouldn't take $200 back in the 1950's (which would be like a $1000 today) than why bother dealing with him? Although its a nice error -- but in VG condition-- the guy needs a reality check. It sounds like he's unwilling to part with it... Probably will end up at a flea market after he's met his maker.

Congratulations on purchasing that note at the Oshawa show this past weekend. You certainly didn't waste any time in offering it for sale... ;)
