1954 Beattie-Coyne Radar - circulated

I purchased a 1954 CBN Beattie-Coyne $1 2-decimal radar note at a club auction.  Serial number is A/N1313131.  Note is a problem-free fine and definitely not pressed.  According to Charlton 19th edition the note has a value of 25% of $85 or $22.50.  I paid a little bit more because of the signature (and would have bid fairly agressively for a BABN note).  Is there any chance the note is worth $30.  I paid $28.

Yes about that, maybe a little less give or take a dollar.

I find the Charlton value of $85 is a bit low for a two digit radar from 1954. I usually see these going for 100 or more in Unc.

Yours is a very nice number in that it repeats every 2 digits, which probably makes it the most desirable type of 2-digit radar.

Also, alot of radar collectors don't care so much about grade and the 25% quoted in the catalogue is too harsh.

Your note is worth at least $50, and on a best offer basis you'd possibly find someone willing to pay as much as $75-$90.
