Got a $20 bill today with a website stamped on it for tracking the note [pic attached].
Mine was the second entry; the first entry was made on August 12, 2005 in Saskatoon, SK! Apparently that's 2,212 km this note has travelled over 833 days, 12 hours and 47 mins (or an average velocity of 0.11 km/hr).
The note is in VF/EF condition with no tears, pinholes or stains. Pretty good considering it has been circulating for more than 2 years!

I have seen other ones. wherehaveibeen.com (http://wherehaveibeen.com) and whereswilly.com (http://whereswilly.com).
I really hope they don't encourage the writing on special serial number notes. :o Who knows how much SNRs and radars have been damaged.

That's why we pay more for them.

The front of the note also had a large stamp on it, as pictured below.
FYI, the FASTEST species of snail moves at an average velocity of 0.0483 km/hr.
[reference: http://www.enotes.com/science-fact-finder/animal-world/how-fast-snails-pace].
This banknote travelled at more than double a snail's pace!
