Title: Binder page note holders
Post by: doug62 on April 01, 2006, 03:30:29 am
Currently I am using Ultra Pro Platinum binder pages ( I was told these are Mylar). 3 sleeves to a page.
I still keep the notes in individual holders.

Problem I have is the notes tend to slide up in the binder pages. I could tape each binder sleeve to stop this but it would take away the aesthetics. And one would not be able to remove a noteholder to look more closely at individual notes.
Any suggestions? Different Binder pages?
Thanks,
doug

Hi Doug, you might want to try "SafetyGard" pages. These come in packages of 3 (9 notes) and contain chemical softener-free inserts. I buy mine locally for about $10 but are also availabe from Canadian Wholesale Supply 1800 265 0720. Package code is SGP5. I hope this helps. :)

Scott,
I gather these have some sort of flap at the top of the sleeve to prevent the sliding out of noteholders ?
Any website where I can view them first ? If not, I'll call them next week and see if they can help with my questions first, before I buy. Thanks Scott.

They inserts slide in from the side and fit securely. I haven't had one fall out yet.

Why not cut a half moon shape at the top of the back half of the page. Just like in the cheap coin books. Just fold the flap over the front half of the page and it should be enough to hold in the note.

Try this site
http://www.cand.org/

CWS is listed in the member's pages. His name is Bill Stanley

Unfortunately CWS is not a brick & mortar operation. Nor do they display their wares at any shows. Orders over $30 before tax ( $40 in US) are shipped free. Else $5 CDN ($4 US). SGP5 pages that Scott mentioned are $3.05 each , so 10 pages gets free shipping in CA.

Currently I am using a standard hard cover 3 ring binder. Is this sufficient or should I be looking at something else ?

Side Note: I like AVERY Multi-Use Labels ( 5/8" x 3/8" , product # 02204) for indentification tags on noteholders. There is no template for printing these small labels on AVERY website, so they are hand printed. If anyone has designed their own template please email me the specifications. Much thanks.

Doug.

Looks like bricks and mortar to me.

They do not have a showroom, display counter, salespeople, etc. One better know what they want before 'ringing' the doorbell.

Doug, find anything that you liked?

I mentioned CWS because he is a CAND dealer, and supplies good product. He is basically a manufacturer of collector's products, and he is in Canada.

Hey Rick !

I purchased the ones that Scott (only4teeth) and yourself mentioned. Ten out of ten satisfied !!! In fact I'm going to have to buy more shortly  ;D Note slots even come with Mylar noteholders (No need to buy those anymore).
Anybody wanting a binder display should use their pages (SGP5). A1++
They have an 800 # for those who need it. Also ship to USA.

Thanks,
doug

Do they fit in an ordinary 3 rings binder ? or do you have to buy binders to match those pages.

thanks

LOL !  I know. I must have about $500.00 invested in these pages.  But they're worth every penny!

Supposeably the noteholders included with the SGP5 binder page are chemical free, ie no pvc.

I have heard whispers that this may not be entirely true.

As added precaution, I purchased and use the mylar D holders that BWJM orders in bulk.
And use these noteholders in the SGP5 pages.

Jeesh, the things we do....    :D
