That's the first example I have ever seen of a rare 1954 $1 S/Y missing prefix note.  Final auction price on this note is anyone's guess.  Expect brisk bidding.

I think it's value lies in fact it's a rare birthday note.

If anyone bids on that $1 note, they will definitely have to bid on this sellers $5 note....it will make a trophy set :)

He likes that $948 price tag. He has notes from Japan and India also with starting bids of $948.

even if the notes were free, the shipping and duty would kill the deal

I will sell him a few of mine for $99 especially the extra circulated notes  :-D
