That is really interesting! According to charlton BJW9859999 was the final bird $100. We all believed that the first journey $100 was BJY0000001. Now with that photo, there is now proof that some BJW journeys were issued. Is it possible that some BJW journey notes were circulated? This is very confusing!

I'm looking into it and hopefully should have a response from the Bank soon.

Sorry JB, but that picture doesn't prove anything.
The B of C produces all kinds of notes (tests, proofs, experiments, patterns, illustrations, etc.), that never see circulation. I have some educational material that has Journey 100's with the serial #JPH2912607.
On RARE occasions (true to the dictionaries definition; NOT ebay standards), one of these notes will get out into circulation. For example: the JHS Journey 5. This is truely a one-of-a-kind and was NEVER intended to leave the confines of the Bank of Canada. I would even debate the "legal tender" status of this note. AND ANOTHER THING :) the serial number is IDENTICAL to the 100 I mentioned above.
How's that for throwing gasoline on the fire. :)
