Title: 1971 - $10 with EDX
Post by: KelownaGuy on August 24, 2010, 01:24:25 pm
Hi,

Just found a 1971 $10 with the serial number EDX2706989.

Not sure if its a replacement or not and how do you figure out if its steel or litho.

Any thoughts on value, it has one soft centre fold.

Thanks

Rod

Hi Rod!
This serial number falls into the number range for the litho back and yes it is a replacement note, the Cat. number is BC-49dA. You say there is a soft center fold if this is the only problem it could be AU but if there are soft corners or other signs of handling it's probably an EF. The price listed in the book is $100.00 in AU and $60.00 in EF, however there's a lot of these and I doubt you would reach these values in this market, IMHO.

Cheers Bill
