I'm sure that this can't be for real or is it :o

Actually, I did see a report about RFID and the Euro last year. They want to be able to track a note throughout it's life.
I wasn't aware of it in the new US $20s, but I'm not surprized. Makes me want to "microwave" one of the new Journey $100 notes when they come out.
Just think, Wal-Mart will now know how much money you have in your wallet. :o

Actually, if you "nuke" those new Journey $100's, the metallic and holographic stripe may explode and possibly ruin the bills, and possibly the microwave.
SO... DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!
Later, Jonathan

Well first of all... why would you want to try this? It will destroy your microwave and you will destroy 100$. Unless you have a cheap zellers microwave and you are very rich... go ahead and try this experiment! lol ;D ;D

Exploding money in the microwave??
Instead, using hamsters is more exciting...and cheaper!!
Ok, just kidding... :P
P.S. Don't just throw a Wendy's Restaurant bag into the microwave without first taking the "metal" wrapper off the burger. Unless of course, you like fire and enjoy browsing for a new microwave. :-[ :-[

Would you be speaking from experience? ;D

Ive done that and its really cool. 8) Sujest everyone do it. There should not be any negitive effects for a few secs in the microwave.
Oh and why would the $100 note explode and not the 20 or 50?

If you notice the date of the original post, the new $20s and $50s had not yet been released to circulation. This is merely a couple weeks after the $100 hit the streets.
