Has anyone thought of compiling data for the missing circle tens from 2001? It would be interesting to find out where the missing circle notes were on the sheet, and possibly how many are out there.

I think there were at least a couple of articles in the CPMS Newsletter in years past dealing with this exact topic. If you are a CPMS member, you have access to past copies of the Newsletter online.
The SNDB does not collect specific information of that nature. That is, there is no way for a user to input specific comments about a note.

The FEN Replacement Registry tracks the Missing Circle variety.

mmars is correct: The SNDB doesn't collect "comments" like would have to be required here. Also, there was a couple articles on this subject in the CPMS Newsletter, so members should consult their archives for further information.
Finally, even if the SNDB did allow for this, the volume of data on the pre-security notes is pitifully small so any conclusions drawn from what is there should be taken with a grain of salt.

ok thanks!
The consolation is that if a variety like this ever pops up again, we can collect information right away!
