Title: Burned note.
Post by: sudzee on December 17, 2004, 11:08:48 pm
Anyone have an idea how this burn may have happened to an unc note in a fresh brick.

A bigger picture would help.

Send me the original and I'll play with it.

This pic should be more telling. Its the front of the note shown above. This note was found by another member and passed on to me. I've never seen anything like it.

They use a lot of ink and I would imagine that drying is a concern.  Perhaps from a stage in the drying process.  Electric elements could be the cause???  Just a guess.

I thought that may have been the cause. Tom, would you consider this note an error or just an oddity?

Probably an error.  Would be nice if someone else found on like it in an original bundle too.

They are the same notes.  Check the serial numbers.  I suspect that glassmancanada had trouble posting the scans, so he got sudzee to do it on his behalf.  Just my best guess though.
