Title: Insert Errors
Post by: Hudson A B on October 29, 2006, 09:44:56 pm: Hi- Just wondering, in the catalogue, replacement notes that are errors are very high priced. Has anyone found any information on Modern Insert notes that are errors?

For example, the HOU inserts seen in this picture:

What would a pair of these go for?

It is a replacement, it falls well into that range.

Post by: walktothewater on November 01, 2006, 01:55:54 pm: I think the above inserts are good examples of "anomalies" or "varieties" like the missing BPN or missing circle. They're not dramatic but they're definitely irregular (a small error) which usually garners some extra interest. In light of this, we do occassionaly see the odd 2001 FEE or insert with the missing circle. Typically the seller asks a premium of $20 to $30 more for it.
