$20 bill showing the Queen's bra strap?

Hello. I have three uncirculated $20 bills from the Sixties that each have an image of the Queen with her bra strap showing. I remember at the time, they told my parents that the government was taking those bills back up as fast as they could, to destroy them. Can you please give me an idea as to what these bills are worth? They have never been folded, and are still crisp and new.

It would be difficult. I don't have a scanner. If that's what it will take tho, I will be glad to. The bra strap on her right side (left side of the image) is showing plain as day above her right shoulder.

Has any other members seen or know more about these notes with that showing?  This is new to me, I have never heard of such a 20 dollar note!  Any scans would be great to see!  Hope you are able to post some soon..  Thanks

Interesting if this is true, but I'm really starting to wonder how many of us collectors have actually been victim to dirty, cocaine laced banknotes after all of these years of searching, handling, and storing. Maybe there is an opportunity for a class action suit down the road

It's likely a minor ink error. Until an image is provided, that's about all that can be said for now.

No, it's not an ink error. All three bills are identical. And no, I'm not a crackhead with a scam, but I understand your skepticism.

Will it cause any damage to the note if I have it scanned?

It may take me a few days to get this done due to my aging parents, but as long as it will not damage the note, I have no problem with posting a scan when time allows.

Nobody suggested you were a "crackhead with a scam." There was one person mentioning cocaine-laced banknotes, but that was in reference to this thread, not your post. As with any newly discovered difference in the appearance of a banknote (I chose my words carefully there), it has to be seen before it can be positively identified as being an error, a printing variety, dirt, pen ink, vandalism, etc.

Scanning a note will not damage it (unless you mishandle it of course, but the act of scanning alone will not cause damage).

I am interested in seeing the scan once you can get it.

If you have access to a digital camera,  that is the best, and easiest, method for capturing pictures of bank notes to display on this forum. Otherwise a copier would be your only other alternative and neither method will do any harm to your notes .

I need to get a better digital camera. I can see that now. The image is a bit blurred, but you can see the bra strap on her right side showing. I suspect that it is in fact her bra strap showing, and that it was not noticed prior to the photo being taken. I can only imagine the fuss that followed the printing and distribution of these bills!

The bills are marked 'Ottawa 1969", if that helps.

Do you have any other 1969 20s or just the three "bra strap" notes.  If you happen to find another ratty old 1969 20 you may be shocked to find it also has a bra strap showing.
Some people might suggest it is merely a portion of her gown that appears bunched up as it drapes over her shoulder.
