Title: Is BC-63a2001 Knight-Thiesse FDV9177228 an insert?
Post by: leonardvan on January 26, 2006, 07:07:20 pm
Greetings, New to your forum. Don't have a copy of Charlton's Canadian Government Paper Money, 18th Edition, 2005. Wonder if the 2001 $10.00 K/T note, serial number FDV 9177228 was included in it's (or other) list of inserts?

Searched your past post and wasn't sure what I was reading.
From 8 Apr 05, Re: 10$ Journey prefixes to watch for:
 "FDV(9.1-9.86m)"

Yet, from 5 Jun 2004 Journey Series- 2001- Knight/Thiessen $10 Notes:

Guessing the later dated post updates the earlier one?

Yes, FDV9177228 is indeed an insert as the range for FDV inserts is from 9100000 to 9860000. The note is worth $40 in AU (Almost Uncirculated) condition and $70 in UNC (Uncirculated).

But FDV is one of the easy replacements to find. The one you really want to look for is FDU in the upper 9m range. This one is a hard one and its selling for quite a bit in UNC.
