Title: 1954 Devils Faces
Post by: 1971HemiCuda on May 10, 2008, 06:50:21 pm: Can someone please tell me how much the price of Devils Face $20 notes In UNC condition have gone up?(with Co-To Signatures)

(Example Charlton 17th Ed. 18th Ed.and the 19th Ed) I already know the 20th Editions price.

If you could tell me a price from an older Charlton Catalogue that would be a big help.

19 th edition unc $375
20 th edition unc $400 Cunc $475 GEM UNC $550

and just for interest in the 11th edition $200.00

So basically:

2008 = ~ 0.6 Oz gold
2007 = ~ 0.6 Oz gold
2006 = ~ 0.6 Oz gold
1999 = ~ 0.6 Oz gold
1955 = ~ 0.6 Oz gold

hum...

Good thing a new catalogue comes out each year ;D

I doubt that will change any time soon, in case you're eagerly waiting for the next book to come out. You're doing very well to break even on most notes. :)

This is similar to what most companies do with their stock prices. They compare the value of their stock against the TSX index and the relevant index for their business sector. Ideally, they want to outperform the indexes that they are being compared to.

AL-Bob is stating that the value of the UNC DF $20 has seen the same proportional increases in value over time as gold has. The value of the note over the past 53 years has consistently been equal to the value of 0.6oz of gold.

Get it now? I could draw some charts and graphs, but I think a bunch of other forum members would start calling me a geek.
