Oh no, another newbie !! I hope he doesn't ask too many stupid questions ! I've been collecting coins (on a tight budget) since there were actually real silver coins circulating, and managed to pick up a few bills along the way. I have no idea how I got this bill (at least 30 years ago at face I believe), and would like to know it's value now.
$ 10.00 - The Dominion Bank, Toronto, 3rd January, 1938. Serial # 342881, signed by Carlisle and (squiggle), in G to VG condition. Thanks !

I have a 10$ bank of toronto note in fine condition from Janruary 2nd 1937, I understood bank issued notes were phased out in 1935,so this interests me. The serial number is 211848, I'm interested in it's possible value

Banks were permitted to issue their own notes for circulation within Canada until 31 Dec. 1944.
Your note has a book value of $100 in Fine condition. (Two left signatures occur with this issue, Henwood and Marsh. Yours will be Henwood. Both are valued alike.)
