Title: AOM and AOK inserts found in AOM brick
Post by: friedsquid on June 25, 2007, 02:02:36 pm
I just received a brick today and took pictures of exactly the way I got it so that it should be self explanatory.  Sealed in heavy plastic and each individual bundle wrapped in green bands similar to the other AOM brick I had a few weeks back. When I opened and searched it, I found it to be almost identical to the find in my last brick. One AOM inserted between the first two notes (which were in sequence) and three AOK inserts within the first bundle of the brick. Also, the second last note of the first bundle in the brick was missing as in my previous find. I hope this information helps. I will be returning the notes today, but obviously I will be keeping the AOM and the AOK inserts.  Any information you can give me would be of help as usual.

how do you get your bricks like that?

When I order new bricks, my bank tells me that they are obligated to open up the brick and re-count the brick before they can release it to me.  This resulted in a lot of creased notes so I just stopped ordering bricks.

Curious... and thanks.

I tell the bank that I will accept the package as is and if there is any shortage I will accept it. Never had a problem ever. I told them I don't want them to handle it in any way.
Also I get 4Teeth to sleep with the tellers. ;D

I do the same, and I have been short changed more than once. Either way I would rather be short changed once or twice opposed to having all my notes with a counting flick.

I have reported your find to Gilles Pomerleau this afternoon and based on this AOM find, your previous
AOM find and one other independent AOM find, the AOM SNR range has been expanded.

There are currently two accepted AOM SNR ranges with a 1K range missing between these two individual
ranges.  We can assume that this 1K missing range has not yet been found, only because of the random
nature of brick searches.   Based on the AOM SNR ranges known to date, we can assume that a block of
notes (4 bricks or 4000 notes) were set aside for use by the Bank of Canada as replacements.

The confirmed ranges of AOM SNRs have been updated as follows:

AOM (0.480M - 0.482M) and AOM (0.483M - 0.484M)

On June 7 2007, recieved a brick of AOM 3942000.

Found between 2000 and 2001, was AOM 0480090, and 91.

It was wrapped in hard plastic, and all the bands were white, but the Bank of Canada stamp was in red. I have never seen red stamped bands before.

Unfortunately I don't, my mom was brick searching for me while I was away, and made a note of them, because she thought it was odd.
