I guessed $5, based on the fact that the last time this happened (1967) it was the lowest denomination note as well ($1).

I think they should do it with the $10 bill since it already shows the first prime minister who was there in 1867.

A $1 bill would be great.

A commemorative $1 note would be about as successful as the RCM's commemorative 50ยข coin in 2002. They went right from Tim Hortons into sock drawers. Most Canadians didn't even know they existed.
It would need to be a $5 or other currently circulating denomination for it to circulate. Otherwise it'll just be a souvenir.
