Title: 1937 $10 Note F-VF With Rare Serial#8000000

I have a 1937 $10 note in F-VF condition (no tears or major folds, color is good, the edges are a bit brownish from age).  The serial# is 8000000.  Signors are not rare (ie. Not Osborne).  Do you think this has any value?

I called one shop that said $20, but that seemed a bit low to me.  He said the RADAR notes are worth something, for example if it was 8000008 maybe, but still 8000000 is quite neat and must have some additional value.

Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.

If a coin dealer offered you $20 for the note, he either misunderstood what you have, or was attempting to rip you off.

Would you be able to post a scan of your note please?

If the note is what you say it is, it would have an Uncirculated value of approximately $1,000. In F/VF, you can expect somewhat less than that, perhaps around $350.

 This is a very scarce note. The value in the catalogue is $250 for fine and $400 in Very fine. I think that it would sell for at least $400.

 I would really like to see a scan or picture if possible.
